Join YAFFED (Young Advocates for Fair Education) at Brooklyn Heights Synogogue for a screening of Unorthodox Education on Wednesday, October 14 at 7pm. Unorthodox Education, a 40-minute documentary created by Jewish filmmakers, lifts the curtain on schooling in Hasidic and Haredi communities, through interviews with people who have left these communities as well as journalists, academics, and advocates, revealing the human cost of actively depriving kids of a secular education while chronicling a decade-long political struggle for these children.
